Stray Cat Strut

I thought I should post the final design for my rockabilly man that THOMAS MICHAEL did for me :D as I hastled him SO MUCH!

Reggae, Ska, Clean Sheet & DVT

Yes the pictures dull again and this time not on a floral backdrop because well I was washing my sheets, towels, throw and a skirt, the weather was nice so I thought it best before it like tips it down tomorrow?

I went to town and on the bus there managed to read almost ALL of the 'ska'd for life' book by Horace from The Specials its actually a pretty great book that I can't seem to put down I think I'll be finished by tonight and then it's 'Passion is a Fashion' a biography on The Clash which I'm hoping is just as good a read as The Specials.
I managed to get my train ticket for Derby on Monday - £13.70
which means I need to make sure they give me the money back for it Monday night or I won't be able to get there Tuesday. My bus pass runs out tomorrow :( so I'm going to have to borrow money for daysavers Monday/Tuesday and try and work out getting a pass on Wednesday [my day off] before going to pay my rent and before work the rest of the week. I found the shop too it's in the bullring LINK ... so not the bullring!! it has a HUGE poster of Oliver Sykes ha ha! so that tells me it's going to be a pretty brutal/scene/emo kids shop great.

The bank was a pisstake too as noone seemed to know where they were que'ing or what for?
so that took ages but luckily they gave me the £320 ... which is good really as it's my account well £200 overdraft and borrowed £120.

In other more exciting news Dita has a new underwear collection out 'the party collection' obviously I want it but have no money! what a shit as it goes on order today and arrives the begining of October and then distributed out no doubt everyone will pre-order and they'll be none left
anyhow here's what I like from the collection and would want if I had the money:

I'm also now in love with my jacket as it took me a while handstitching away so now I cna't stop wearing it. TODAY

The Specials - Ghost Town
The Rocky Horror Picture Show - The Time Warp
Bob Marley & The Wailers - Could you be loved

What I like most about you is your girlfriend

Facebook won't let me log on.
I got these books out today

The lady who called me 'dita' last year stopped me again to say hi yesterday and then came back to ask if I was in to the clash/ramones/ska because theres a gig the weekend at the Wharf in Birmingham ... I think this is down to the fact I had houndstooth shorts, knee high socks & a tartan jacket on [the one I made *beams* .. what a knob]

The first of these books 'Trial of True Love' I read the first 5 chapters when I was actually meant to be at Stratford College instead I sat in Waterstones reading that book but never got to finish it so I hope to now! ... 'Ska'd for life' I'm already 5 chapters in and its pretty 'dope' ha ha to say the least! The 'Passion is a fashion' is long and going to take some time to read it all .. good times though!

Work Scheduel
Monday: 10:30 - 4:30 - Derby
Tuesday: 10:30 - 4:30 - Derby
Wednesday: DAY OFF [go to pay rent and move in]
Thursday: 8:45 - 6 - Birmingham
Friday: 8:45 - 6
Saturday: 8:45 - 6
Sunday: 8:45 - 6 .... though I think its more 9:45 till 5

The specials - Friday night, Saturday morning
Gangsters
Little Bitch - because thats my favourite one!

OH!
and this is my student ID for BIAD
the guy actually messaged me back unlike with tom

I look rather vile but it'll do for a year at least I don't look as ill as Tom just a bit corpse-like

There's beauty in the breakdown

Today was a breakdown day in public too .... a public humiliation of tears flooding from the eyes .. horrid, vile times!

Anyhow moving on heres my final jacket put together :]
I'm so pleased with it I did it properly too blanket stitching the other side so it doesn't look a mess or like I threw it together.

This is a short post due to the fact I'll probably moan about money/rent/house/uni/the bank if I carry on.

fuck it, it's punk

I got bored and decided as I soooo can't afford a tartan jacket at the moment to customise an old jacket for now! It's all been pinned up and tomorrow while waiting at the bank / eye hospital I shall be sewing away and hopefully it shall be complete by tomorrow night .... but I have a feeling it's going to take a little longer than that but *fingers crossed*

the jackets a plain black one I got from H&M a hundred years ago
and the Tartan comes from a Tartan skirt I got from a shop that used to be outside the Oasis Market that shut down 3 years ago ... so shows you how long I've had that for.

Putting together so far:
its late so my pictures are crappy I didn't even bother to check if they took properly

& look as mentioned in a previous post Tom has made me a Rockabilly Man for a tee
'My Paper Mache Man'

The Autumn Winter collection

for University :]

Note: I have too much time on my hands

So I think this winter is going to be cold, cold, fucking cold! so I'm thinking leggings are going to be an essential really so heres my punk selection of stuff as leggings I assocoiate with punk .. or glam rock 80's depending on which your wearing:

Punk

Leggings - Leopard & Tartan
Black Fetish Mary Jane Shoes
Brogues
Monster Belt Buckle
Tartan Biker Jacket

Then of course they'll be a bit of 50's 'cause I can never get rid of that 50's look I love so it's just lots of dresses and quite a bit of rockabilly thrown in for good measure
[+ some sort of sailor dress! & Dita / Edie Croc Bag by Collectif]

50's & Rockabilly

Leopard Halter Love Kills Dress
Vivien of Holloway Halter Wiggle Dress
Trashy Diva Dresses
Maverick Tarastarlet Dress
Gingham Halter Tarastarlet Dress
High Waisted Tarastarlet Shorts
Black Side/Pill Box Hat
Seamed Stockings - In Bulk

& then the essentials & other shizzle for winter!
including fur coat :D definate yes yes yes for this cold winter times with leather gloves!

Strapless Black Tee / Black Tank Top
Black Cotton Leggings
Black Tights - In Bulk
Knee High Black Socks
Striped Tee
Blazer
Cape? Maybe
Brief Case
Doctors Bag
Lilly Clip
I really really really really really would like these:
but alas they cost £110 ..... I'd have to save up for a few months for them!

OK so your kind of sexy, but you're not really special

Tom is drawing me up another Tee design of a Rockabilly Boy
my life is complete ..... loser!

If it's meant to be it'll be ....

So I can't do a real post about '500 days of summer' because James & Tom will get annoyed so that'll have to be saved until after they've both seen it but personally I loved the movie :D it was really amazing! and I don't think it'll be to everyones taste but I'm happy how it was set out and how it ends & it made my day / weekend getting to go see it!! Thanks to Sharl taking me ha ha! it was in a really small screen though which is odd as it seems to be really popular.
The music was great throughout and it felt rather magical it the weirdest way with just enough realistic views to make bitter old me thrilled.

'Darling, I have to tell you something, there's a Chinese family in our bathroom'

However I did find the movie left me wanting to have someone to run through Ikea with and be complete idiots or shout out absurd things in the middle of a park/public place.

TO BE ADDED TO WHEN EVERYONES SEEN THE MOVIE.

song: The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition

Hepcat

I'm feeling a 60's day today so it's all knee high socks, high waister short skirt & black paitent belt, cropped black cardigan & a little cropped sleeve swing jacket with a scoop neck I've had for years but never worn, along with a boufant hairstyle .. no flowers.
I felt like throwing my fur coat on with it but it's not THAT cold yet so give it a few weeks and it'll be all fur coat times .. I despratly want my new one from Gemma's mother :) I imagine it looks like love :) ha ha and will fit like a dream .. lets hope this is all true.

Todays 60's feel is bought on of course by Miss. Edie Sedgwick

She despratly makes me want to go out and buy a black and white stripe tee it seems more of a necessity in your wardrobe than anything .. why don't I own one?

I live in this skirt at the moment.

I really wanted to do my eyes like I did when we went to Rag and Bone but it seemed a bit much for just a saturday day.

I could do with some tights without holes in.

Top 5 tracks today

The Cranberries - Linger
Charles & Edie - Would I lie to you?
Stray Cat - Stray cat strut
Rancid - Old friend
Something for Rockets - Might as well

But dreams aren't supposed to be rational, right?

I've become obsessed with this blog:
Only Shallow
www.ambugaton.blogspot.com

Mainly because Ranna's outfits are ridiculously amazing and well put together! along with the fact she owns the Vivien of Holloway dress I am dying to own and now Envy her for! the one that kate Nash wore in a photoshoot [red and white polka dot halter neck with a full skirt]
Her style is impecable from her little Pixie/Amelie style haircuts, to all the bows, full skirts and gorgeous vintage bags. The amount of colour is beautiful and colour isn't something I enjoy wearing in my outfits but I can't help but love all the colourful outfits this lady puts together! as well as her 'Dita' post where she modelled and outfit on one of Dita's she's truely inspiring.

This outfit makes me want to buy a vintage hat box as a bag
This made me want a lace collar

anyhow I was trying to work out the vest way to sell my clothes as I feel ill and selling them tomorrow at a carboot/flea isn't looking great so I need a new way to get rid of so many dresses/accessories etc. Charlotte's mom suggested the bargain pages, Charlotte setting up an ebay for me or some sort of table top sale ... everything seems such a hastle but I need the money.
If I'm up early enough tomorrow ... before the bank shuts I need to pop in and ask how much my overdraft is and if I can use it because if so I need £320 to pay my rent and then £110 for a new bus pass ... gah it's getting expensive! and then £13.50 for a train ticket to Derby next Friday and again on Monday.

From reading 'Only Shallow' it made me want new clothes, or old clothes really.
If I ever have any money from work, left over from my loan or from sold clothes I'd really like

Punk -
Leopard Leggins, Tartan Leggings, Cotton Black Leggings, Black Leather belt & a fuck off belt buckle, Tartan Biker Jacket and some amazing Black Knee High Boots with lots and lots of BUCKLES! like the opening ceremony ones they don't do anymore :( that I blogged about AGES ago.

50's -
Viviene of Holloway Swing dress, Sailor Dress [Ebay Custom Made], Trashy Diva Dress, Tulle Petticoat, Black pill box hat, High Waisted Shorts [Tara Starlet], Tara Starlet Maverick & Gingham Dress, Stockings [in bulk & seamed], Leopard Halter Dress [Love Kills]

Other -
Blazer [new Look], Black Brogues, Black Thick Tights, Brief Case [Vintage, Black], Vintage Doctors Bag, Green/Blue Tartan Dress, Cape?, Tiger Lilly Hair Clip, Dita Bag [Collectif], Edie Bag [Croc - Collectif], Deatachable lace collar

hopefully I'll get the fur coat & wrap Gemma's mom's letting me have so I can wear it over winter 'cause if tonights anything to go by it's going to be COLD! and I shall wear them with my black leather gloves [thrifted - £1.99]
I think Leggings will be a definate staple this summer, easy to throw on for university and pretty dresses because I don't have to think about things to go with them - black cropped cardigan/fur coat/vintage bag .... unless I manage to get the Dita bag by then.

Theres also new underwear in Ann Summers that I really really liked! usually I find it really tacky in there and the underwear a mix of lace with polka dot with mesh and it's just not very classy at all more trashy! but from going in the other day so charlotte could show me the pilot outfit she wanted [ha ha] I saw this and fell in love:

The bra's called 'DITA' it's all black satin with three rows of frills
& fastens at the front with 4 hooks and eyes
it's actually an alright price to at £18

I also found a really gorgeous pink satin bra & blue stain bra with matching 'elongated' suspender belt skirt in black and blue satin with covered buttons.... which makes up for the fact I never managed to get the Dita wonderbra collection elongated suspender belt in peach/mint green with covered buttons.
As ever though after those few surprises the rest of the store was full of tack and underwear I would never dream of been caught dead in.

500 days of summer Saturday :) I can't wait. I seriously can, not, wait.

Easier said than done

Feeling: Rawr ill and shitty
Look: A hot fucking mess
Music: Ida Maria - I like you so much better when you're naked

I got a call from the Derby Pulp store so I'm there Friday 11th & Monday 14th from 10:30 to 4:30 fun times1 which means I don't need to stay in Derby I can get a train there and back and apparently claim the money back from the Derby Store which is good as I hardly have money to be throwing around.
Hopefully I'll go to Notts Thursday to see Jossy but it depends how it all works out.

My positive thinking has taken a huge lapse.
Men suck .... I want Bernards Watch like James said in his blog www.jamdrum.blogspot.com

4 days until 02 academy
1 week until Pulp
1 week 3 days until I move
2 weeks 3 days until University

I suppose it's all getting exciting really isn't it?
I can't wait to fall in to a routine ... it sounds lame but I like having THINGS to do, don't worry as soon as everything gets going I'll be moaning I have no free time

Also no one is ever happy with what they have are they?
its ridiculous
& why can't anyone be up front and blunt instead of like avoding you or trying to spare you feelings? what bollocks.

I can't believe how this went from a blog for photographys & art I liked to a rambeling day to day blog :P

I'd quite like a nice REAL date as I haven't had like a REAL date before ... unless we count the cinema when a guy paid a good few years ago. So any takers, especially if your a monster leave some comments ... even if your gay a sham date would not bother me ... ha ha!

Feeding Frenzy

My status on facebook seems to have sparked off an epic conversation about 500 days of summer & then general amazing movies & books & soundtracks, sometimes this makes a nice change I like hearing about other peoples favourite books, movies and music especially when its mutual and you can talk about all the best parts.

Tom sent me 'I like you so much better when your naked' it made me very happy, that song never fails to make you happy!
& reading James' status has made me want to listen to The Temper Trap so much you wouldn't believe it
'A moment, a love a dream, a laugh a kiss, a cry our rights, our wrongs a moment, a love a dream, a laugh a moment, a love a dream, a laugh'

After the sealife centre today I walked into Solihull with Charlotte, we passed the stalker that is James on the way there who was probably looking for small children in Solihull as everyone was back at School today well most people. I went to the library and got a book out on Morrocco and Las Vegas as well as one on Punks in Britan ... Nancy Spungen I shall be soon! ha ha
We then went to John Lewis for Scones with Jam and Real Lemonade :] sadly there was no strawberry jam but the rasberry did just fine!

I got an email of Pulp too avout work apprently I shall be doign a couple of days in Derby so I've had to ask Joey if I can crash in his spare room and thank god it's all cool :)

I think the new view on things are:

If his interested he'd make the effort - call/text/email - arrange a date/time etc.
If he/she breaks up with you they damn well won't be getting upset about you they'll be getting on with things, so get over it and do the same.
Not everyones life goes the same you can be happy even if you don't get what you think you want, you don't need a white picket fence 2.4 kids, a dog and the 'perfect' partner, you can be just as content with whatever you have.
The 'young, free and single and just having fun' theory only works if you can find someone who's interested in that to - so 500 days of summer - Summer you are not always right.

I'm excited and nervous and worried and happy and thrilled and a whole lot of things now. I guess things change no matter what. Moving is soon. Jobs are soon. 21 is very soon. Everythings happening but I'd rather it all be happening than have nothing going on.

SEA RAYS

Today we went to the life of sea ... also known as the sea life centre

One of the sea cratures had somehow turned over on to its back and couldn't turn itself back right up ... so Kim went and got someone to help ... here are some pictures of the epic rescue! sadly Aqua Lesbian was not the woman to do it ..

At this point we'd made it to the lifts and thought it a perfect photo opportunity ... Lame

This is us its dark .. thank god ha ha!
